After school, Tashae goes to a kids’ club at the 3Cs community centre to do her homework, learn drumming and have fun with her friends. Tashae loves playing the drums and singing. Condom Fi Use is a song the kids composed and now perform, sometimes to crowds of 150 people.

  • Poverty and stigma fuel the spread of HIV
  • Through dance, music and art local group 3Cs (Children & Community for Change) wants to educate young Jamaicans to protect themselves from HIV
  • Until recently secondary education was free in Jamaica – now only 35% of kids in areas like Mandela Terrace in downtown Kingston, go to secondary school
  • It’s left to community groups like 3Cs to help educate kids who cannot afford school fees
